Fry’N Dip with Cheesy Bolognese Dip
Ingredients
· McCain® Fry‘N Dip Skin On – 130 g
· Diced red onion – 50 g · Garlic cloves – 2 nos
· Minced beef – 100 g · Diced tomato – 40 g
· Tomato sauce – 150 g · Tomato paste – 1 tbsp
· Olive oil – 2 tbsp · Oregano – 1/2 tsp
· Dried basil – 1/2 tsp · Parmesan – 20 g
Preparation
For the bolognese dip
· In a sauce pot, start by cooking the onion and garlic with the olive oil till golden colour.
· Add in the meat with the chopped tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes more.
· Add the tomato paste, cook for another minute and add the tomato sauce and 1/2 cup of water.
· Let the bolognese sauce slow cook in medium fire until the sauce reduced by half (approx. 12 minutes).
· Season with the dried herbs, salt, pepper and the shredded parmesan.
· Chill and reserve till serving time.
For the fries
· Fry McCain® Fry‘N Dip Skin On for 2 minutes 30 seconds at 177˚C.
· Serve the fries with 1/2 cup of bolognese sauce.
